Buying Property FAQs

When Should I Contact a Conveyancer

Ideally, you should contact a conveyancer before signing a Contract of Sale.

A contract becomes legally binding once signed, so obtaining advice beforehand allows the contract and Section 32 Vendor Statement to be reviewed before you commit to the purchase.

What is a Section 32 Vendor Statement

A Section 32 Vendor Statement provides important information about the property to a prospective purchaser before they enter into a Contract of Sale. It may include information relating to title, rates, owners corporation, services and other matters affecting the property.

Should I Have the Contract of Sale Reviewed Before Signing

While not every purchaser chooses to do so, obtaining advice before signing allows the contract terms, special conditions and other important information to be reviewed before you become legally bound.

What Happens After I Sign the Contract of Sale

Once the Contract of Sale has been signed by all parties, it becomes a legally binding agreement and important timeframes begin. We manage the conveyancing process, including reviewing requirements, attending to documentation, liaising with relevant parties and preparing for settlement.

What Happens on Settlement Day
